B.O.B (song)
"B.O.B" ("Bombs Over Baghdad") is the first single released from hip-hop duo OutKast's fourth studio album, Stankonia. "B.O.B" is much more high-tempo and jungle-influenced track than Outkast's usual efforts, featuring the Morris Brown College Gospel Choir in its chorus. The single peaked at #61 on the UK Singles Chart. There is an official remix of the song, featuring Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine. It has been cited as one of the greatest songs of the 2000's decade by various music magazines and websites. Pitchfork Media named "B.O.B" the #1 song of the 2000's on their end decade list.
Commercial performance
"B.O.B" failed to chart on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and only reached #69 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The single peaked at #61 on the UK Singles Chart.
Critical acclaim
The single was named by several music publications as one of the best songs of the 2000's. Rolling Stone ranked "B.O.B." at #21 on their Best Songs of the 2000's list. Pitchfork Media ranked the song at #1 of their "Top 500 Songs of the 2000's" list[1]. Blender Magazine listed the song as second in their 'Greatest Songs Since You Were Born' list.
